You’ve come to a crossroads. 

In one direction is the life you’ve always known. This path is deeply familiar, full of repetitive pains and predictable joys. You’ve spent ages walking this road, retreading your own footsteps over and over, wearing the soil into a frictionless groove. You know where you’re going and what you’ll see. This path is comfortable. If you take it, there will be few surprises and very little will change. 

The other direction leads into wilderness. Ancient trees obscure the path, their gnarled limbs casting shadows that conceal strange beasts and unsteady terrain. Dark clouds loom overhead. You don’t know where this new road will take you. You don’t know what challenges you’ll face along the way. You don’t know what you’ll be like when you reach the other side. But if you brave this path, life will never be the same. 

So how do you choose? 

Perhaps you need a guide. A companion on your quest. Someone who can teach you how to see in the dark.  Mirror your strengths and your deficits. Show you that even the biggest shadows have something to teach you about yourself, your needs, and all the pieces you’ve hidden away just to survive from day to day.
